The owner changed hands in 1952, when the company became a more profitable business, to Charles A. Sammons who was named the owner of Briggs-Weaver. Charles A. Sammons, a self-made billionaire, combined his holdings and established Sammons Enterprises, Inc. As a contributor of Sammons Enterprises, Inc., Briggs-Weaver had grown to a 20 percent rate, in 1962.
Then in 1996, Briggs Equipment became an independent working operation of Sammons Enterprises, Inc.
